Hawaii Pacific Health this morning broke ground on a new clinic at the Town Center of Mililani shopping center, slated to be three times larger than the existing one.

The new, 24,000-square-foot Straub Medical Center Clinic, upon completion, will serve people of all ages in Central Oahu, according to HPH, and is projected to open in 2024…

A $20 million, 12,000-square-foot USS Bowfin submarine museum opened Monday with a new name and striking look that charts the course of Navy undersea duty, from the loss of the USS F-4’s 21 hands off Honolulu in 1915 up through the newest $6.5 billion Columbia-class ballistic missile submarines.

The reopening comes after two years and $23 million in renovations to the 12,000 square foot museum.

In March, Constructors Hawaii Inc. is scheduled to finish the renovation of Pearl Harbor’s Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum and Park, Phases 1 and 2, located across from Battleship Row. The museum depicts 20th century submarine warfare through the present and into the future.

In the makai Diamond Head corner of the new Kobayashi & Kosasa Family Dining Room at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is an interactive video floor where keiki—and others—can play. The new Kobayashi & Kosasa dining room includes a 9,000 square foot kitchen, seven new serving areas, three conference rooms, an 1,800 square foot lanai, and an interactive kids play area.

The sanctuary of the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace will sparkle for Christmas and unveil two presents — larger than life full-length portraits of Hawaii’s two saints — all part of phase 2C of the historic church’s ongoing restoration.
